With a market of 80 million users and a growth of 10 million each year, mobile represent the great business channel and the main communication technology (and often, the only one) for most of the population in Mexico.
As in most of the major emerging economies, the Mexican mobile market provides many opportunities for the development of innovative businesses and as a consequence both, main international players in the industry as well as the start-ups and venture capital, have focused their attention on it. The mobile business boom has just begun and in the next years we will witness a true mobile Mexican Revolution.
This promising future required a further effort to strengthen networking and collaboration among industry players, which led to the creation of the Mobile Monday Mexico Chapter, founded by Arturo Robles (Managing Director - Noon Venture Consulting) and Mauricio Delgado (EVP Agave Mobile), with the objective of becoming the leading community for mobile professionals in Mexico.

After some months of intense work by the founders and given the great expectation around this initiative since its first announcement in April 2009, the first milestone for MoMoMx was the creation of an Executive Advisory Board with the participation of all main representatives from the key players of the Mexican industry (operators, mass media, content creators and producers, Internet firms, manufacturers), in order to bring their expertise in support of MoMoMx:
